Wallets!

So... While engaged in my as yet unsuccessful search for a job, I've found it necessary at times to be productive in a more visible, tactile manner. So from the same rescued from the street corner sewing machine that brought you the Turk, I am now proud to present to you... wallets. So many wallets.
What started out as a failed shopping trip to replace my no longer functional previous money-grip, became first an experiment in sewing technique, and then segued into an obsession. With some help from Ben I've probably made somewhere upwards of 30 wallets in the past few weeks.
Last weekend I had a table at the Mission Indie-Mart, Where I sold my first two wallets. Many thanks to Tim and Laurie for their helpful suggestions, and I must give credit for the second and final sale to Laurie and Wendi. Doesn't look like a great way to pay the rent, but it certainly was a good time.

Hey Matt, do you know about Etsy.com? It's a place to sell your hand crafts. Check it out. I don't know if you remember Heather Mars who used to go trick or treating with you and Lauren, but she lives in Oregon and is a wonderful crafter, making lovely bags. Her store name is Marsbard on Etsy. I think you have a future, young man!!! Love, Gwen
p.s. check out my blog at www.watercolors.typepad.com. xoxoxo

Line my pockets with your cheap merchandise. I have paypal and I have much more valuable paper that the post office will still deliver.
